How it all began
Snail cream is a skin care product derived from snail slime. While it may not sound pleasant, snail slime possesses medicinal properties and treats a variety of skin conditions.

Originally prescribed by Hippocrates, the ‘father of medicine’ as skin care for as far back as 400 B.C. to treat skin redness with milk and crushed snails.

In Chile, where it all started, workers on snail farms discovered that after regular handling of snails sold as escargot for French restaurants, the skin on their hands are much smoother, softer, firmer and any cut, blistered, inflamed or irritable skin would heal rapidly.

Researches show that snail slime is a complex mixture of proteoglycans, glycosaminoglycans, glycoprotein enzymes, hyaluronic acid, copper peptides, antimicrobial peptides and trace elements including copper, zinc and iron.

Snail slime (mucins) have been reported to be wonderful not only for treating skin problems such as acne, dilated pores and blemishes but also prevents aging of the skin and contains healing properties.

Key Ingredients:-
Copper tripeptide-1 :
As it is excellent in repairing skin, it heals wounds, reinforces the elasticity of skin, increases panicles adipose and functions to reverse the aging phenomenon.
Centella asiatica extract:
It heals wounds, contract pores, promotes the synthesis of the elastic protein and repairs skin.
Snail extract :
Is known as MUSIN. It is the adhesive material that snail secretes to protect skin and to heal wounds by itself.

Directions for use;
After applying toner, apply proper amount evenly all over your face and tap gently with fingertip to enhance absorption, then follow by lotion.

[The Missy’s Say]

 Creamy and moisturizing.

Very subtle, and I can’t quite describe the scent.
 Unpleasant by me.

After touch:
Very sticky, and it remains sticky; but I have nearly zero tolerance for stickiness (I turn on the air-con in full blast with a fan blowing at me when I am on the stepper, because I cannot stand the slightest stickiness of sweat), so you may want to take that into consideration before taking my words for it.

Besides the stickiness, the cream is actually very hydrating and moisturizing.

It didn’t break me out after a few uses, but I didn’t use long enough to see the positive results that the product claims.

Other notes:
I have been using snail products for more than half a year now, and I have to say that I really like it. Although I cannot confidently give full credit to the snail products for my skin’s improvement, because I also use other ‘powerful’ products such as MD Forte Rejuvenating Cream (one of the best products I have used for clearing up troubled skin, I will review on that some time), and the Skin Watchers Papaya Peel (really good stuff!).

That said, I am using snail repair tonersnail repair eye cream, snail repair essence, and snail repair cream, I firmly believe that these products make monthly breakouts (you know, the time when the hormones go crazy for a bit, right, people call it ‘PMS’) more manageable. My skin goes really bizarre during that time – it literally means that if I were lucky, I would get a nearly 2 weeks’ of clear skin, and the rest of the month is dictated by the PMS! Being woman is a challenging job, I tell you! Since using the snail products, the healing is much more efficient and the marks clear up really quickly.

I also notice that my skin is brighter – no fairer, it just brightens up, possibly attributed by the more even skin tone.

Buy it at Chamos website (or/and retail stores that carry it).
