I didn’t need portable battery charger before, since I was a recluse, in my imaginary cave. I am everywhere (well, not everywhere, I have not set foot on Marina Bay Sands yet, and I remain uninterested!) more often now, I do need to make sure that my cell (not for calling, but you know, whatsapp, imessage, facebook, instagram, emails etc) to be juiced up with power to supply endless flow of music to drown the noises around me.
Of course, I bring the iPad too (I sort of scan the pages of the textbook for the lecture, know that the textbook is super heavy to carry in the bag!), so power is in demand.
I bought the Power Bank Portable Battery Charger 20000mAh, but I should have gone for the smaller one. I am out and about, but not always a full day schedule, the smaller capacity charger would suffice, and it would be a lot lighter in weight. This is good, and it is said to be able to supply up to 4 full charges. I have tried, I think it lives up to the promise. The only downside is that it’s really quite bulky and heavy, probably more suitable for traveling (especially for long flights or road trip, and you want to use your tablet for extended time).
Compatibility with different devices
The charger comes with many adapters for use with different brands of devices. However, it doesn’t come with lightning adapter (iPhone5 and iPad mini), so you will need to bring your own lightning cable, not a big problem though, since I have 2 lightning cables.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the charger; except for the weight. It would be fine if my bag wasn’t so heavy all the time.
The only concern is that, now I don’t have the excuse to say I can’t return a phone call or reply to messages because the phone is battery dead. 😛
