Daily Compassion

It’s been a couple of rough weeks since I returned to Singapore. Apart from the reverse-culture shock, things just haven’t been going smoothly with most of the services that I require. Things have been especially trying for the last couple of days as plans are being stalled and would need a massive overhaul. The Dark Traits in Occupations Some thoughts…

Mom’s Creative Problem-Solving

I am back in Singapore, temporarily. My sister came to get me at the airport past midnight, and we, the entire family, went downstairs to have some supper when we got home. The fantastic thing about Singapore is that there is always easy access to food at any time of the day. The less desirable side effect is none other…

The Conscientious and Hardworking

Intelligence is like good looks, some people are born with charmingly great looks, no justification needed! Wisdom can be acquired and cultivated through experiences and consciousness. So, stop craving for genetic intelligence – although, you could always pack more knowledge! – but work towards cultivating wisdom to put your knowledge in good use.

Wisdom often leads to compassion, because wisdom is likely to give you a fulfilled life, and when you are leading a fulfilling life, the only thing left to do is to help others accomplish that too.
